Q . Are there any health issues associated with the Garra Rufa fish. i.e. passing bacteria/disease from one person to another?
A. No. The tanks should be fitted with UV light filters. The risks are the same as if you were going to the swimming baths. The fish cannot transmit diseases. The water that the treatments are provided in is constantly replaced, so there is no chance for diseases to be transmitted through the water as long as care and good practise is followed as suggested by the HPA.
Q . How do I look after the Garra Rufa fish?
A.The fish come with a doctor garra maintenance manual. This also explains what to feed the Garra Rufa fish and tank problems/symptoms
Q . Do the Garra Rufa fish bite?
A. No they don’t have any teeth and therefore can't and wont bite you. Despite the name nibble fish, they actually suck and scrape the dead skin off your body, hands or feet.

Q . Do the Garra Rufa fish need to be fed or can they live off the dead skin?
A. They need a supplementry feed. It is important to keep them healthy. Garra Rufa fish need to be fed once a day (Evening) or twice a day if not in use.
Q . How many Garra Rufa fish do I need to buy for a single person?
A. We recommend you buy 100-250 Garra Rufa fish per tank for feet and 750-1000 Garra Rufa fish for a full body tank.
Q . What type of tank/supplies are needed for the Garra Rufa Fish?
A. We recommend arranging a meeting with us to deal with specific requirements. Issues such as UV filters/heating/tanks will need to be discussed. Our Garra Rufa Tanks are just £799 + vat

Q . How much water do i need for each fish?
A. The Doctor Fish need between 0.5-0.7 litres of water per fish, the more water the better though.
Q . What age and size are the Garra Rufa fish?
A. The Garra Rufa are between 4-12 months old and 3-7 cm in size depending on time of year and stock levels.
Q . What temperature does the water need to be for the nibble fish?
A. The water can be around 25-32 degrees C, try keep the temperature stable. Stress can kill the fish, so increasing/decreasing temperature isnt good.
Q . Do you offer any guarantee in case something happens to the fish?
A. Our fish come with a DOA guarantee. We dont acccept any responsibility once fish are in your tanks as we are unaware of your water conditions.

Q .Should the fish die like when you first receive them?
A. No no no! The fish should have no problems, any supplier that says its usual is incorrect. There may be problems with the tanks or the process of unpacking the fish if you have issues. Check your water conditions and plan properly. Its easy to blame the health of the fish but 99.9% of the time something has not been done correctly.`
Q . Can we get finance?
A. Yes we can offer finance via a third party finance company.
Q . Can I put rocks in the tanks?
A. Yes we suggest whilst not in use tanks should contain areas for the fish to hide like ocean rock.
